Elizabeth Pulju-Owen, viola,  (Bachelor of Music, summa cum laude, The Catholic University of America) has been a member of the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra/Washington National Opera Orchestra since 1998.  Earlier orchestra appointments include positions with the New Orleans Symphony, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, the Alabama Symphony, and the Savannah Symphony.  Elizabeth has also performed at music festivals throughout North America and in Scandinavia.  Highlights of her orchestral career include the Washington National Opera tour to Japan in 2002 and two tours to Carnegie Hall with the Baltimore Symphony.  Other Washington area groups with which Elizabeth has performed include the National Symphony Orchestra and the Eclipse Chamber Orchestra.  Elizabeth is also an active chamber musician, serving as violist for the Gragnani Trio.  With that group and others, she has performed chamber concerts throughout the DC region.  Particularly dear to Elizabeth’s heart are the educational music programs she performs with Dynamic Duo and Presto!, bringing classical music, magic, and fun to thousands of schoolchildren in the metropolitan region.
